That’s fair! There are plenty of dumb people in this world. And also explains part of the reason why when we do go out, we don’t stay long. ;)

If Jor and I could help it, we would strive to not attract the worst kinds of people. But they come to us like... a moth to a flame. Or a vampire to blood? That one is a bit too on the nose though.

Come on now, most vampires think they’ll come and consume us and we only allow two to do that. If you catch my drift.

And by consume, I mean kill us, obviously.

[Piper teases him, sending him a grin. She always enjoyed their play.]

There is nothing in the handbook that says it can't be both.

Well, you are still here. I'd say that's some solid proof. We both know if you didn't, you wouldn't still be here.

[Grins. She had stopped doubting it a bit ago but she also knew her sharp tongue got her in trouble often enough in other situations.]

Of course I am. No one gave Jordan and I an 'Enchanted: How To' handbook. The chapter on being in love with vampires is especially thin, all considered.

What about the care and satiation of vampires? Most of the book?

[ She tilts her head and considers it. ]

I mean, it is a good portion of the book, yes. There are other things that are sort of important, I guess but I may be a bit biased.

There's quite a few rules. You'll pick them up as we go. I'll try and be clear about them. The first time, at least.

[ Which means he'll make them up as it suits him and will amuse him definitely. ]

[ Piper laughed and sent him an amused smirk. ]

Oh, I have no doubt at all that there are quite a few in your official / unofficial rule book. You know this just means that once I learn them, I look forward to breaking them, right? At least until you change them and come up with more.

[ She hummed as she considered it then sent him a teasing look. ]

How to teach your vampire how to use technology is a rather large chapter. But, yes - we have to prove that being with a vampire isn't all doom and brood like our ancestors would like for us to think. There are some positives to dating and sleeping with a vampire, after all.

[ The smile that curves his lips is sly and taunting and the cant of his head only makes it even more wicked as he gives her a slow look. ]

Would I ever set rules if my entire goal wasn't just for you to break them? Why else would I even make them?

[ Which may well be true. What's the fun in it if he's not taunting her to break them?

But then he laughs at that, the smile that comes with it much more genuine. ]

But none of those positives are their knowledge of technology, huh?

[ She grinned. It was reactions like this that reminded her of the many reasons she enjoyed being with him. ]

Well, even you must admit that some... many vampires aren't very savvy with technology.

[ Her grin widened when she spotted that more genuine smile and the laugh. ]

[ He says it entirely deadpan, staring at her while trying not to smirk. ]

So making them seems much easier than letting you find your own.

[ His expression darkens, even if his eyes sparkle with that amusement he's trying so hard to hide. ]

You wouldn't be insinuating that I'm lacking in technological savvy, would you?

And I must say, you do a fantastic job of it too.

[ Piper smirked in amusement. ]

[ She held two fingers up with just a little space in between them and sent him a teasing wink. ]

Of keeping you on your toes? Someone has to and it seems so many others have failed in that, haven't they?

[ Maybe it isn't the fault of others that she is smarter and quicker than they are, but he knows he'll always work to be her equal. Because, in the end, he knows she is his. ]

Mmmhmm. Do remember that I can learn technology, and that I have forgotten more in my lifetime than this civilization and its society remembers, thank you.

Keeping me on my toes... helping me break the rules... you do a fantastic job at all of it. I would prefer no one else to keep on doing so than you. That said, this little group of ours, does much better than others. There's no doubt about that.

[She didn't have a single doubt in her mind that he was her equal. Even if she was only minorly put out that he still kicked her ass more times while they sparred than she had his.

Mm, you raise a valid point and I don't doubt that you can learn technology. I have every faith in you. Especially since I don't foresee it going away anytime soon.
